Qualifications

• Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in Ohio
• MS in Nursing; NP program qualifying for national certifying exam
• 0 years APP experience required; 0–2 years of surgical or oncology experience preferred
• Masters Prepared; graduate of a PA-C program that qualifies to sit for NCCPA exam; eligible for Ohio PA-C licensure

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care for surgical oncology patients in collaborative and independent clinic settings
• Performs thorough patient assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team, conducts preoperative evaluations, postoperative follow-up, and long-term surveillance visits
• Coordinates care across specialties to ensure seamless treatment planning and continuity of care
• Serves as a patient and family educator regarding diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and survivorship
• Participates in clinical research activities and supports evidence-based practice initiatives to advance quality oncology care

Education

Master of Science Degree in Nursing

Graduate of Nurse Practitioner program qualifying for national certifying exam

Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C
