Job summary

Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking student workers to assist in Café 101 during lunch service. You will seat guests, take orders, process transactions and help maintain a clean, sanitary dining area.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in at least 6 credits, meet SAP or a 2.0 GPA, and can work up to 20 hours Mon–Fri between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Flexible scheduling and health-safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits.
• Must currently be meeting SAP, or a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
• Transient and Dual Enrollment students are ineligible for student employment.
• Applicants must submit resume and current course schedule.
• Knowledge of Aloha POS System and Open Table Reservation System.
• Ability to lift and carry food trays.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Must demonstrate maturity, dependability, and possess excellent communication skills.
• Serv Safe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set-up Café 101 for lunch service.
• Seat guests and assist with dining room tasks during lunch service.
• Process sales transactions, check-out café guests.
• Maintain area to ensure proper sanitation and safety standards as mandated by health department.
