Job summary

Rochester Community Schools is seeking a Noon Recess Building Paraeducator to supervise students during lunch and recess at Musson Elementary and provide non-instructional support to the building staff.

The role follows the regular school calendar, with hours Monday–Friday. Strong communication, reliability, and ability to interact professionally with students, teachers, and families are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work with students in a professional manner and give directions.
• Patience and ability to interact respectfully with students, staff and parents.
• CPR/First-Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist students during lunch and recess.
• Clean tables and seating per district protocols.
• Assist with medication dispensation under nurse instruction per district regulations.
• Provide building non-instructional support as needed (arrival, dismissal, materials setup).
• Organize materials and assist staff with projects as directed.
• Support safety and orderly routines in the lunchroom and playground.
