Job summary

Stoney Creek High School in Rochester Hills, MI is seeking a Noon Recess Building Paraeducator to support students during lunch and recess. Two hours per day, Monday through Friday, with positions available for the 2026-2027 school year in a district that follows the regular calendar.

Under supervision of the principal, the paraeducator will monitor and supervise students, assist with table cleanup, and support medication dispensation as required by district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work with students professionally and give clear directions.
• Patience and ability to interact respectfully with students, teachers, parents and staff.
• Flexibility to work independently and use good judgment to de-escalate student behavior.
• Respect for cultural differences.
• First-Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Physical agility to lift and carry materials, stand long periods, and work outdoors in various temperatures.
• Regular, reliable and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch, recess and playtime to ensure safety and order.
• Clean tables/seating per district guidelines.
• Assist with medication dispensation and documentation per district rules.
• Provide building non-instructional support as needed, including special projects.
• Organize materials and assist staff with various tasks as required.
• Support emergency procedures and building operations as directed by administration.
