Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze flight hardware structures and electronics packaging for lunar and cislunar missions. You will collaborate with RF and electrical teams to integrate components into robust assemblies and perform extensive thermal and structural analyses.

You will create CAD models, drawings, and test fixtures, participate in development tests, and drive design iterations based on test data to ensure reliability in launch environments.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 5+ years designing aerospace mechanical structures and electronics packaging.
• Experience with static structural, modal, random vibration, and thermal analysis.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to cross-disciplinary design in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead design, analysis, and testing of mechanical structures and packaging for space hardware.
• Collaborate with RF/electrical teams to integrate electronics into assemblies with detailed thermal/structural analyses.
• Create 3D CAD models, drawings, and assembly documentation.
• Plan and conduct vibration, shock, thermal cycle, and thermal vacuum tests.
