Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Electrical Integration Engineer to design, integrate, and verify electrical and avionics subsystems for the lunar lander and payloads. You will define interfaces, develop C&DH architectures, and ensure the electrical system meets safety-critical requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in spacecraft electrical systems engineering.
  • Experience with command & data handling subsystems, avionics, or power subsystems.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft electrical interfaces and standards.
  • Familiarity with wire harness design for space applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and interfaces for the spacecraft and its payloads.
  • Develop and implement command and data handling (C&DH) architectures for spacecraft subsystems and payloads.
  • Define and document electrical interfaces between the spacecraft bus and payloads.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems integration with Mechanical, Thermal, Fluid, Propulsion, Avionics, Communications, and Software Systems.
  • Develop electrical test plans and procedures to verify system performance.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks related to electrical systems.
  • Create and analyze budgets to ensure adequate electrical power, data, and channels for mission operations.
