Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to advance multi-disciplinary testing for spaceflight hardware. You will apply mechanical, electrical, and test expertise to plan, execute, and analyze tests for complex assemblies and systems.

Collaboration across teams, leadership in test campaigns, and a commitment to safety will be essential to deliver reliable hardware for lunar missions. You will design and review test plans, develop fixtures, manage vendors, and mentor junior staff while

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics.
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on hardware testing experience.
  • Experience with test stands and fixtures.
  • CAD-based mechanical design experience.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute mechanical component and subsystem tests.
  • Identify test events and equipment needed for tests.
  • Utilize test facility instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Create and review Test Plans, Procedures, safety assessments and schematics.
  • Design, procure, install test support equipment; manage vendors during installation.
  • Identify, communicate and mitigate cost, schedule, and technical risks.
  • Troubleshoot issues during testing; participate in readiness reviews.
  • Coordinate test crews and configurations; enforce safety policies.
  • Reduce, analyze, and archive test data; mentor others.
