Job summary

Blue Origin seeks experienced Manufacturing Engineers to join our Operations team on the Space Coast, FL. You will own the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure stringent quality control throughout production, and optimize supply chain logistics for lunar and spacecraft hardware.

Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, reduce costs, and accelerate build timelines, applying Lean/DFx, DFMA tools, and modern manufacturing tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (or related discipline).
• Demonstrated ability to create clear, accurate manufacturing documentation (work instructions, BOM, flow diagrams).
• Ability to work required shift and site, with flexibility for extended shifts/overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of new flight and payload hardware.
• Drive application and optimization of DFM, DFA, DFT across product lifecycle.
• Translate engineering requirements into robust manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to integrate products and accelerate build.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (work instructions, inspection plans, process flows).
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction; advocate Lean/DFx principles.

Education
