Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager Sr. in Space Coast, FL to lead a team of engineers supporting lunar vehicle production and tooling. You translate engineering definitions into manufacturing work instructions, drive build execution, and address non-conformances on Blue Moon MK1 lines.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional IPT collaboration to ensure high-quality, on-time manufacturing results in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience leading manufacturing/industrial/process engineering roles (10+ years).
• Experience creating manufacturing work instructions (5+ years).
• Experience in aerospace or high-reliability environments is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication across levels; safe-work practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers in manufacturing and production of lunar vehicles.
• Build high-performing teams and adapt to challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Guide design development within IPTs for build, process, and manufacturing development.
• Support leadership in decision-making on high-impact scenarios.
• Develop fabrication specs, test plans, maintenance plans, and SOWs.
• Support requirements generation and Interface Control Models (ICMs).
