Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior payload integration engineer to deliver interface control documents and lead cross-functional teams across aerospace partners. You will define environments, oversee integrated analyses, and manage NASA collaboration to ensure payloads meet mission requirements.

The role requires experience with spaceflight environments, trade studies, and leading complex payload efforts with international partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in payload integration on spacecraft or launch vehicle.
• Experience with the Systems Engineering lifecycle (requirements, interface definition, verification).
• Experience managing requirements and interface baselines, incl. negotiating ICDs.
• Experience leading technical trades balancing performance, cost, and schedule.
• Familiarity with spaceflight environments and integrated analyses (loads, thermal, EMI/EMC).
• Proven ability to lead cross-organizational teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, define, and deliver the payload ICD.
• Define payload design environments and lead integrated analyses.
• Define payload integration milestones with the Mission Manager.
• Manage contract deliverables with provider and NASA customer.
• Own interface verification: verification matrix, fit checks, pathfinder activities.
• Oversee payload operations concept and integrate into mission flight plan.
