Job summary

Blue Origin's Lunar Permanence team is seeking a spacecraft development engineer to contribute to GN&C hardware development for navigation sensors and verification across the program lifecycle.

You will lead tests, trade studies, and integration with vehicle systems engineering, ensuring design coordination to meet performance deliverables and safety standards while communicating complex technical information clearly.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in engineering or related field, Aerospace or Electrical preferred.
• Experience with GN&C hardware components and navigation sensors.
• Proven test, integration and verification capabilities in cleanroom environments.
• Knowledge of avionics interfaces and spacecraft communications protocols.
• Experience with IPC 3 Space Addendum standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop navigation hardware requirements from system level specs with downflow to subsystems.
• Design navigation hardware configuration and perform performance trades.
• Manage procurement, vendor coordination, delivery, installation, verification and certification.
• Guide testing, flight tests, thermal vacuum and vibration analyses to validate requirements.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop and on-vehicle testing throughout programs.
