Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking engineers to design, implement, test, and deploy navigation software for lunar spacecraft. You will work on sensor I/O, state estimation, and cross‑functional integration with GNC, flight software, and operations to support lunar missions.

You will contribute to navigation algorithms, simulation environments, and validation workflows across the full lifecycle from development to flight operations.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in a relevant STEM field with 5+ years in navigation systems or related area.
• Strong programming skills in Rust, C++, or C.
• Experience with synthesis of state estimation algorithms and Kalman filters for spacecraft navigation.
• Understanding of spacecraft dynamics, kinematics, and coordinate systems.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible status to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy production navigation software for lunar spacecraft using C, C++, Rust, and Python.
• Support development of navigation and sensor fusion algorithms with component tests and on‑vehicle testing.
• Develop and maintain navigation simulation environments and perform system analysis.
• Interface with navigation hardware vendors to integrate sensors into spacecraft systems.
• Support flight operations including pre‑flight planning, real‑time monitoring, and post‑flight analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including GNC, Flight Software, Systems Engineering, and Operations.
