Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the United States is seeking an experienced GN&C engineer to join the Guidance, Navigation, and Control team focused on guidance algorithms, control laws, and flight software for spacecraft traveling from Earth to the Moon.

You will prototype algorithms, perform trade studies, collaborate across subsystems, and develop software for flight systems and simulations using Rust, C/C++, and Python. A strong background in astrodynamics and orbital mechanics is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in aerospace/physics with extensive relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of astrodynamics and orbital mechanics.
• Subject matter expertise in spacecraft guidance and maneuver planning.
• GN&C algorithm development for flight and attitude control.

Responsibilities

• Derive spacecraft guidance designs from mission trajectory designs.
• Coordinate performance requirements between GN&C and mission planning.
• Develop and maintain guidance algorithms for orbital maneuvers in Earth and cis-lunar orbits.
• Develop flight control algorithms for spacecraft in complex missions.
• Perform trade studies for maneuver targeting sequences and RPOD operations.
• Collaborate with subsystems to ensure system-level design closure.
• Develop and maintain software for flight systems and simulations.
