Marvin's Selma is seeking a Lumberyard Associate for a full-time, on-site role in Selma, AL. The yard operative will help customers, load/unload merchandise, and assist with deliveries using company equipment.

The position emphasizes safety, inventory accuracy, and customer service in a warehouse/yards setting. Forklift certification and ability to lift 100 lbs are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification and safe operation of forklifts.
• Delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and load up to 100 lbs.
• Comfort working in a warehouse/yards environment.
• Strong reading, writing and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and contractors at entry.
• Operate forklift to merchandise and stock yard/warehouse.
• Assist truck drivers with deliveries to homes and job sites.
• Load materials into customers' vehicles per POS records.
• Develop expertise with forklifts, pallet jacks and related equipment.
• Unload freight without damaging goods or equipment.
• Accurately build loads and prepare materials for delivery.
• Identify shortages and report to store management.
• Maintain yard and warehouse in clean, orderly condition.
• Assist cashiers and staff as needed.
• Support contractor sales counter functions.
