Job summary

Marvin's Gadsden Lumber Yard is seeking a Yard Associate to deliver excellent customer service, handle merchandise, operate a forklift, and assist with deliveries and counter duties. The role requires forklift certification, delivery experience, basic math, and strong safety awareness.

You will greet customers, stock the yard and warehouse, unload trucks, and help load materials into customers' vehicles while ensuring accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification is required or preferred.
• Delivery experience and ability to handle customers professionally.
• Good reading, writing and speaking skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and contractors in a friendly manner.
• Operate forklift to merchandise and stock yard/warehouse.
• Assist truck drivers in delivery and loading/unloading merchandise.
• Load materials into customers' vehicles and confirm type/quantity from POS records.
• Maintain safety and security of equipment and yard areas.
• Assist with contractor sales counter functions as needed.
