Marvin’s Hardware & Building Materials in Monroeville, AL, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager – Lumberyard to lead daily operations and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This hands-on leadership role focuses primarily on lumberyard and outdoor operations, so you’ll work outside in various weather.

The ideal candidate has experience with lumber, building materials, hardware, or a related industry, enjoys leading a team, and can keep fast-paced operations moving while serving

Qualifications

• Experience in lumberyard or related industry.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round.

Responsibilities

• Lead lumberyard and outdoor operations including receiving, stocking, loading, and deliveries.
• Provide knowledgeable, friendly service and help customers select products.
• Lead by example and create a supportive team environment.
• Assist with daily store operations and cover Store Manager’s absence.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and development.
• Ensure safety, organization, and accurate stocking of merchandise.
