Job summary

Hood Distribution is seeking a Warehouse/Mill Associate to support lumber operations, loading, unloading, and general distribution. The role requires forklift operation certification, ability to read a tape measure, basic math, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience in lumber or building materials and be able to maintain accurate inventory while maximizing production yield.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Some experience in warehouse operations, distribution, etc.
• Forklift operation certification and hardwood knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift during loading/unloading of lumber material
• Uses power saw and circular saw
• Guides lumber through mill equipment and planning mill for finishing
• Takes inventory and maintains records of material and orders
• Maximizes production time and product yield
• Maintains PPE and safety equipment
• Ensures health and safety standards during operations
• Demonstrates physical strength and stamina
• Forklift certification required
