Job summary

Hood Distribution in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Warehouse/Mill Associate to support lumber operations, bulk receiving, and loading activities. The role requires the ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math as part of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift truck during loading and unloading of lumber material.
• Uses power tools such as power saws and circular saws.
• Guides lumber through mill equipment and plans mill for finishing and processing.
• Takes inventory and maintains records of materials and orders.
• Maximizes production time and product yield.
• Maintains PPE and safety equipment.
• Ensures compliance with health and safety standards during work operations.
• Demonstrates physical strength, dexterity and stamina.
• Forklift certification required.

Job description

Warehouse/Mill Associates should have experience in warehouse operations, distribution and machinery. Perform general bulk receiving, and truck loading. Perform warehouse distribution activities. Ability to read a tape measure and do basic math functions. Previous or current forklift certification required. Ideal candidate would have Lumber and or Lumber yard experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operates forklift truck during the loading and unloading of lumber material
• Utilize cutting tools and equipment such as power saw and circular saw
• Guide lumber through mill equipment, and planning mill for fine finishing and processing.
• Take inventory and maintain accurate record of material, process orders
• Maximize production time and finish product yield
• Maintains PPE and safety equipment
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during work operations
• Physical strength, dexterity and stamina
• Forklift Certification required

Salary: $18.00-$19.00

Requirements/Qualifications:
