Frank Miller Lumber Company is seeking a reliable lumber yard associate to assist customers and prepare materials for delivery. The role involves planning and cutting operations, stocking inventory, and operating a forklift to fulfill orders.

Candidates should have strong math skills to calculate board footage, good communication and leadership abilities, and a solid attendance history. A forklift license is required or must be obtained.

Qualifications

• A good attendance record is necessary and is to be maintained.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Frank Miller Forklift license.
• Ability to learn species/grades of lumber and woodworking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Planning, jointing, crosscutting, and ripping material for customers.
• Replenish bin lumber from bulk inventory.
• Operating forklift to fill customer order.
• Answering phones and assisting customers with lumber.
• Prep, stage and load trucks for delivery.
• Maintaining cleanliness of shop and store.
• Informing Outlet Manager when repairs are needed for equipment.
