Job summary

Gillman Home Center in Indiana is seeking a Lumber Yard Manager to ensure exceptional customer service and oversee the lumber yard operations and equipment.

The full-time exempt role is day shift, 45 hours per week, Mon-Fri 7am-5pm, reporting to the New Castle store location. Responsibilities include supervising yard staff, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining a safe, well-stocked yard.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of supervision preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience managing a lumber yard preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and resolve concerns in a positive manner.
• Supervise lumber yard team members and coach them as needed.
• Coordinate daily deliveries with the sales team and lumber desk.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; ensure yard is safe and clean.
• Oversee invoicing of products before leaving the yard.
