Gillman Home Center in Centerville, IN is seeking a Lumber Yard Associate to deliver friendly service and keep the yard and equipment running smoothly. You will assist customers loading materials, operate trucks and yard equipment, help manage inventory, and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Forklift experience preferred; must be 18 years old to drive forklift.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to customers.
• Assist customers loading and unloading lumber and building materials; build loads as needed.
• Operate trucks and yard equipment; deliver materials to homes and job sites.
• Maintain inventory; assist in cycle counts and freight handling.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment; keep logs as required by law.
• Maintain yard and assist other departments as necessary.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
