Carter Lumber is seeking a Yard Supervisor who blends administrative duties with hands-on yard operations. This hybrid role focuses on leading a team, assisting customers with loading and service, and coordinating order dispatches to ensure smooth yard flow.

You will also manage inventory, enforce yard safety, and schedule vehicle maintenance. Prior supervisory experience in a lumber or building materials context is preferred, with strong Excel and MS Office skills expected.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in customer service, preferably in a lumber yard.
• Dispatch experience is a plus.
• Ability to direct and train others effectively.
• Familiarity with building materials.
• Ability to be an effective team member and leader.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

Responsabilités

• Manage yard staff and oversee daily operations.
• Assist customers with loading and service in a friendly manner.
• Coordinate shipment scheduling and dispatching of orders.
• Maintain yard inventory through cycle counts and organization.
• Ensure safety and adherence to yard policies; schedule vehicle maintenance.
