Carter Lumber is seeking a Yard Supervisor to lead yard operations, supervise staff, and ensure efficient material handling in a fast-paced setting. This role blends administrative tasks with active yard work and demands strong organization and people skills.

Responsibilities include hiring and disciplining staff, directing dispatch and scheduling, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding safety policies. A background in building materials and Excel proficiency are preferred.

Qualificações

• Supervisory experience in customer service, preferably in a lumber yard.
• Dispatch experience is a plus.
• Ability to direct and train others effectively.
• Familiarity with building materials.
• Effective team leadership capabilities.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Employee management, including hiring, communicating, and disciplining staff.
• Assist customers with selection and loading of materials with a friendly attitude.
• Pulll and stage materials for pickup/delivery; structure shipping and scheduling.
• Maintain yard inventory with cycle counts and keep the yard organized; ensure policy compliance and vehicle maintenance.
