Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Direct customers to building materials and merchandise in the lumber yard.
• Load merchandise onto store delivery trucks for delivery or transfer.
• Assist with unloading deliveries as necessary.
• Remove lumber from units and rack boards by grade and length.
• Read work orders or invoices to determine materials to move or load.
• Assist customers with loading purchased merchandise.
• Maintain yard and racks in an orderly, clean condition.
• Operate forklift or industrial truck to load or move materials.
• Complete daily forklift inspections.
• Adhere to Loss Prevention, inventory control, and compliance procedures.
• Maintain safety awareness of hazards to employees or customers.
• Communicate customer issues to internal staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
