Job summary

R.P. Lumber Co. is seeking a Part-Time Yard Associate to ensure prompt, courteous service while maintaining safety, inventory, and neatness at the Eldon location.

You will assist in loading, unloading, stocking, and building loads for delivery, and accompany truck drivers on deliveries to help unload and stage shingles, drywall, lumber and millwork. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, pass pre-employment checks, and enjoy a team environment. Flexible weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Forklift experience is preferred; on-the-job training available.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow company policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and contractors courteously on entry.
• Load materials onto customers' vehicles or delivery trucks, validating type and quantity.
• Unload incoming freight without damage; operate forklift to stock yard/warehouse.
• Build loads accurately for delivery and assist drivers on routes.
• Assist with deliveries and ensure proper loading/unloading at job sites.
