Job summary

Parr is seeking a Lumber Yard Associate to safely load customer vehicles with building materials in a busy retail lumberyard environment. You will stock inventory, inspect shipments, and maintain yard cleanliness while following company policies.

The role requires English proficiency, the ability to read tickets, and the physical capability to lift up to 90 lbs. A forklift license is preferred, and you’ll work outdoors in all weather conditions with a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• OSHA forklift license preferred.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English required.
• Knowledge of receiving/inventory control principles, practices and protocols.
• Knowledge of dimension lumber and panel products and other building materials.
• Ability to read and interpret 'picking tickets' and invoices.
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
• Familiar with power tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely, accurately and efficiently load customer vehicles with orders of building materials.
• Receive delivered inventory and inspect paperwork for accuracy; deposit inventory in designated locations.
• Inspect stock and returns for salable quality and stock accordingly.
• Complete required paperwork for change orders and inventory adjustments.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Operate forklift safely and assist customers with product knowledge.
