Job summary

TAL Building Centers is seeking a: Yard Material Associate to assist customers with yard materials, load and unload in the lumber yard and warehouse, and maintain a safe work environment. Onsite role with emphasis on customer service and accurate loading, stocking, and delivery preparation.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, coordinating with teams, verifying invoices, and safely operating forklift equipment after proper training and certification. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job.
• 1-3 months experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with locating materials; verify items on invoices.
• Assist customers in loading and unloading materials safely.
• Coordinate with sales and yard team to ensure prompt service.
• Check loaded materials against purchase invoices for accuracy.
• May pull loads for delivery and bundle safely for transport.
• Develop knowledge of materials, locations and uses; learn products as needed.
• Operate forklifts and light trucks after training and certification.
• Report unsafe conditions or damage immediately.
