Job summary

TAL Building Centers is hiring for a lumber yard associate at our onsite store in the Pacific Northwest. You will assist customers with yard materials, help load and unload items, and maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include guiding customers, coordinating with the yard and sales teams, and ensuring accurate invoicing. No remote work; physical duties and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused approach to assist yard and warehouse customers.
• Ability to operate forklifts and light trucks after training.
• Commitment to safety and following established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and determine assistance needs; guide to materials and help with loading.
• Coordinate with sales and yard team to ensure prompt, accurate service.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading materials and checking invoices for accuracy.
• Pull loads for delivery and bundle safely for transport.
• Learn about materials, locations, and uses to answer questions confidently.
