Big Rapids Lumber & Hardware is seeking a dedicated Lumber/Hardware Sales Consultant to assist customers in the Big Rapids area. The role involves serving walk-in and phone-in customers, pricing and delivering status information, and occasionally visiting job sites to support projects.

You will help achieve company goals and contribute to the strategic plan. Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing orders, answering inquiries, and maintaining showroom procedures.

Qualifications

• Greeting customers as they enter showroom or office.
• Writing up walk-in and phone-in orders.
• Answering phone calls and emails.
• Assisting customers with pricing, product and delivery status information.
• Engaging in customers’ projects and qualifying needs.
• Following up on quotes and orders and maintaining showroom efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers as they enter our office/showroom
• Writing up walk-in and phone-in orders
• Answering phone calls and emails
• Assisting customers with pricing, product and delivery status information
• Engaging in customers’ projects and qualifying customer needs
• Returning quotes in a timely manner and supporting sales goals
• Sales and inventory responsibilities; knowledge of BRL&H products and services
