Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. seeks a General Labor team member to safely handle lumber products and verify material meets customer requirements. You will move and secure lumber, stack finished products, and label materials according to type, size, and count.

Responsibilities include tagging materials before/after treating, tying, bundling, and ensuring accurate inventory and production records. The role involves following safety policies and may require participation in CI programs and meetings.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
  • Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
  • Label material based on type, size, and count.
  • Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
  • Band, bundle and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Record production on production sheets and keep a clean, organized work area.
  • Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading material carts.
  • Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
