Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a General Labor associate in Chandler, AZ to safely handle lumber products and verify that material meets customer requirements and company standards.

You will move, stack, label, and secure materials, using staple guns and hand tools, while ensuring accuracy in quantities and tagging before leaving the work area. The role emphasizes a clean, organized workspace and participation in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required, but manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size, and count; apply tags before/after treating/production.
• Use staple gun and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Band, bundle, and secure material with corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets and keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading material carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
