Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a general labor team member to safely handle lumber products, verify material meets customer requirements and company expectations.

The role covers moving, stacking, labeling, tagging, and assisting with production while maintaining a clean workspace and following safety, CI, and other programs. Strong reliability and basic math skills are preferred; HS diploma recommended but not required; 18+.

Qualifications

• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and materials per instructions.
• Stack finished products to bundle sizes or customer specs.
• Label material by type, size, and count.
• Apply tags before/after treating/production.
• Operate staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band and secure material with corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Maintain inventory and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on sheets and keep area clean and organized.
• Assist other areas by moving material and loading carts.
