Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a General Laborer to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements and company expectations. The role involves moving, stacking, labeling, and securing materials, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size, and count.
• Attach individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Operate a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material with corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow stacking instructions per policy and customer requirements.
• Ensure correct quantities are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs.
