Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a General Labor candidate to safely handle lumber products, verify material meets requirements, and document production. You will move, secure, and label materials, apply tags, and assist with loading and inventory control.

The role emphasizes accuracy in labeling, stacking according to policy, and participation in safety and continuous improvement meetings while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
  • Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
  • Labels material by type, size and count.
  • Applies tags to material before/after treating/production.
  • Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment.
  • Bands, bundles and secures material with corner protectors and loading sticks.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Records production on production sheets and keeps area clean and organized.
  • Assists with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
  • Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
