Job summary

Gillman Home Center is seeking a Lumber Counter Sales Specialist to assist customers and contractors with project needs. Full-time, 40 hours weekly, with open availability Monday through Sunday; store hours 7am–8pm.

You will greet customers, advise on solutions, and process orders, quotes, and invoices using specialized software, aiming for accurate, timely service and sales opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience helpful.
• 3+ years in building materials/construction industry preferred.
• 1+ year of customer service experience; retail experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to customers.
• Greet and assist customers in a positive, respectful manner; resolve questions and advise on solutions.
• Use software to create estimates, quotes, orders, purchase orders and invoices.
• Ensure orders are invoiced before leaving the store and handle returns/credits.
• Open and close store; stock, price updates and inventory maintenance.
