Job summary

Gillman Home Center in Richmond, IN is seeking a Lumber Counter Sales Specialist to assist customers and contractors with project needs. This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly with open availability Monday through Sunday and store hours from 7am to 8pm.

The position reports to our Eaton, Ohio store location. You will provide excellent customer service, educate customers on products, and handle quotes, orders, and invoicing while supporting deliveries and installations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in the building materials/construction industry.
• 1+ years customer service experience.
• Retail experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to customers.
• Advise customers on project solutions and add-on sales when appropriate.
• Create quotes, customer orders, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Ensure all products are invoiced before leaving the store.
• Assist with deliveries, installations, and general store tasks.
