Job summary

R.P. Lumber Co. is seeking a CDL Driver to deliver building materials to customer jobsites, ensuring safety and accuracy in all deliveries. The role includes loading/unloading, paperwork, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety

The position requires a Class A or B CDL, DOT medical certification, a willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and the ability to lift up to 50–100 pounds in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Good attention and dexterity to deliver materials without damage.
• Effective verbal and written communication with vendors, customers, and team members.
• Must complete Company training and Boom/Forklift Certification.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Pre-employment drug testing and background checks as per law.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customer jobsites via the most efficient route while following traffic laws and company policies.
• Unload or assist unloading using crane, conveyors, or by hand.
• Ensure delivery schedules are met with friendly, professional service.
• Secure loads on the vehicle before leaving job sites.
• Complete delivery paperwork for tracking and inventory control.
• Assist in loading and securing materials on trucks; verify quantities for accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles inside and out.
• Perform routine safety checks on vehicles.
• Assist yard and warehouse with stocking and organizing materials.
• Assist customers in the yard with loading questions when not driving.
