Job summary

RP Lumber Co. is seeking a Driver CDL to deliver building materials to job sites while upholding safety and customer service standards. You will operate company vehicles, load/unload, and ensure accurate paperwork and inventory control.

The role requires a valid CDL (Class A or B), DOT medical certification, and a clean driving record; a Boom/Forklift certification is preferred. You must be 21+, flexible schedule, and able to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL License (preferably with Air Brake and Manual Transmission Endorsements).
• Must possess or be willing to obtain DOT Medical Certification Card (preferably self-certified as “Non-Excepted Interstate”).
• Have an acceptable driving record for the prior sixty (60) months of operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products and materials to customer’s jobsites using the most efficient route while obeying traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Unload or assist in unloading at the jobsite using crane, conveyor, piggybacks or by hand.
• Ensure delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service.
• Secure returning loads on the company vehicle prior to leaving the job site.
• Complete required paperwork pertaining to deliveries, returns, and transfers for inventory control.
• Assist in loading/stocking and verifying materials for accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles.
• Perform routine safety checks on vehicles.
• Assist in yard and warehouse with stocking and organizing materials.
• Assist customers in the yard with loading material and product questions.
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
