Job summary

R.P. Lumber Co. is seeking a safety‑mounded Driver CDL to deliver lumber and building materials to job sites with prompt, courteous service. You will load/unload, verify quantities, and maintain accurate paperwork while following all safety and company procedures.

Responsibilities include meeting delivery schedules, operating and inspecting delivery vehicles, and assisting in yard operations as needed. This full‑time role offers competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 6–12 months related experience.
• Must be 21+ years old and have strong attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication with vendors, customers and team.
• Must complete company training including Boom and Forklift Certification.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Pre-employment drug testing and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customer sites using the most efficient route while obeying traffic laws and company procedures.
• Unload or assist in unloading with crane, conveyor, or by hand and verify quantities.
• Ensure delivery schedules are met with friendly, professional service.
• Secure returning loads on the vehicle before leaving sites.
• Complete required delivery paperwork for inventory control.
• Assist in loading and securing materials in trucks; verify quantities in yard.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles and yard areas.
• Perform routine safety checks on vehicles per company policies.
• Assist in yard operations and answer customer questions when not driving.
• Participate in other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
