Job summary

Shell Lubricants is seeking a Laboratory Technician to ensure product quality through testing and adherence to specifications. You will support the QA process, perform routine maintenance, and assist with development work as needed.

You will work with SAP systems, maintain calibration, and troubleshoot equipment while following HSSE guidelines. This role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Relevant post-secondary education preferred.
• Relevant experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Technical skills including viscosity, TAN, pH, particle count, titration, FTIR, ICP.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing to ensure products conform to specifications prior to release.
• Operate SAP and other computerized systems to support daily activities.
• Conduct validation and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment issues and test method problems.
• Support Quality Manager and regional initiatives with QA programs.
• Adhere to HSSE guidelines and maintain confidentiality of formulations.
