Job summary

Shell is seeking a Chemical Laboratory Technician in Texas to perform laboratory tests on chemical products and process streams, ensuring adherence to specifications and compliance standards. You will document results digitally, maintain equipment, and support safety and quality initiatives.

Candidates should have a science degree with laboratory experience in refinery or petrochemical settings, and be able to work extended shifts when needed. TWIC eligibility and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in science with at least two years of experience, preferably in refinery, petrochemical, or compliance laboratory environment.
• Experience in petrochemical, refinery and/or environmental compliance testing methods and equipment is preferred.
• Proficiency in basic chemical laboratory skills and math; able to read and apply analytical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on chemical products, process streams, and outfall samples to verify manufacturing specifications and process controls.
• Document all tests in hard-copy and electronic systems; maintain equipment; perform routine housekeeping.
• Operates and maintains testing equipment; participates in safety, quality, and compliance training.
