Job summary

Shell is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Michigan to provide quality assurance through testing samples against specifications and delivering accurate results. Responsibilities include lab testing, calibration, and using SAP for daily tasks, with emphasis on safety and compliance within Shell's lubricants manufacturing framework.

The role supports quality initiatives, specimen testing, and potential product development, with rotating shift work and strict adherence to HSSE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have strong QA and laboratory testing capabilities.
• Experience with viscosity, TAN, pH, particle count analysis, and FTIR/ICP is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management principles.
• Strong computer literacy and SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing to ensure products meet specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Utilize SAP R/3 and other systems to support daily activities.
• Develop and test new or modified formulations while maintaining secrecy of formulations.
• Identify corrective actions for off-spec products and coordinate with Quality Manager.
• Support site and regional quality initiatives and programs.
