Job summary

Oman Shell is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform quality assurance testing of lubricant samples and ensure conformance to specifications. The role includes routine maintenance of lab equipment and support for SAP-based processes across the Lubricants Supply Chain.

The candidate will follow HSSE guidelines, contribute to quality initiatives, and work rotating shifts. Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and willingness to learn are essential for success in a collaborative,

Qualifications

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship.
High school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education is preferred.
Relevant experience in laboratory, manufacturing, quality, or related industrial environment is preferred.
Technical skills include viscosity, TAN, pH, particle count, reserve alkalinity, titration, FTIR, and ICP.

Responsibilities

Prioritize safety for self and coworkers.
Perform quality control testing to ensure products meet specifications for release.
Use SAP and other systems to support daily operations.
Calibrate and validate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
Assist with formulation testing and troubleshooting as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of lubricant formulations.
Coordinate corrective actions for off-spec products with quality leadership.
