Job summary

Cargomatic is seeking a hands-on freight operations professional to source carriers, manage load boards, negotiate rates, and price FTL/LTL to keep capacity locked and margins intact. You will report to the operations leadership and be in the market daily across relevant lanes.

You will work with sales, dispatch, and customer service to move bookings through delivery, ensure carrier compliance, and develop contracted capacity on key lanes for reliable service.

Qualifications

2+ years in freight brokerage or carrier sales.
Hands-on carrier sourcing and rate negotiation experience.
Experience with load boards and a TMS.
Ability to price FTL and LTL and analyze lanes.
Strong negotiation skills under time pressure.

Responsibilities

Source carriers and develop contracted capacity for FTL/OTR.
Monitor marketplace capacity and cover demand via load boards.
Price FTL and LTL opportunities and return quotes quickly.
Protect margin by monitoring lanes and repricing as needed.
Ensure carrier compliance and onboarding steps are completed.
Collaborate with sales, dispatch, and customer service to keep bookings flowing.
