Sunset Transportation, Inc. is seeking an Operations Support for the LTL team to ensure freight moves smoothly from pickup to delivery.

You will provide shipment visibility, maintain records, and proactively monitor freight activity to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities

• Monitor and track LTL shipments from pickup through final delivery, ensuring on-schedule performance.
• Communicate with carriers to confirm pickups, obtain tracking information, and gather updates on delays.
• Coordinate solutions for missed pickups and service interruptions to minimize disruptions and maintain service excellence.
• Maintain accurate shipment documentation and update transportation management systems with notes.
• Collaborate with operations teams, carriers, drivers, and customers to communicate changes and resolve issues.
• Assist drivers with concerns at shipping/receiving locations and support throughout the transport process.
• Identify potential service failures and escalate exceptions to drive timely solutions.
• Report overages, shortages, damages, and other shipment-related issues to keep stakeholders informed.

As an Operations Support, LTL team member, you will play a critical role in ensuring freight moves smoothly from pickup to delivery. You will provide shipment visibility, maintain accurate transportation records, and proactively monitor freight activity to help deliver an exceptional customer experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, working in a fast-paced environment, and communicating with carriers and internal teams to keep shipments on track. You'll gain hands-on exposure to transportation operations while developing industry knowledge and building a strong foundation for growth within the logistics industry.

What Will You Do?

• Monitor and track LTL shipments from pickup through final delivery, ensuring freight remains on schedule and customers receive accurate shipment visibility.


• Communicate with carriers to confirm pickup appointments, obtain tracking information, and proactively gather updates on delayed shipments.


• Coordinate solutions for missed pickups, service interruptions, and transportation issues to minimize disruptions and maintain service excellence.


• Maintain accurate shipment documentation and update transportation management systems with timely and detailed notes.


• Work closely with operations teams, carriers, drivers, and customers to communicate shipment changes and resolve issues quickly.


• Assist with driver concerns at shipping and receiving locations while providing support throughout the transportation process.


• Identify potential service failures, elevate exceptions when necessary, and help drive solutions that exceed customer expectations.


• Report overages, shortages, damages, and other shipment-related issues while ensuring all stakeholders remain informed throughout the process.
