Job summary

Sunset Transportation, Inc. is seeking an Operations Support for the LTL team to ensure freight moves smoothly from pickup to delivery.

You will provide shipment visibility, maintain records, and proactively monitor freight activity to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role suits someone who enjoys problem solving, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and communicates effectively with carriers and internal teams to keep shipments on track.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting logistics or transportation operations.
• Strong communication with carriers and internal teams.
• Ability to monitor shipments and maintain records in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track LTL shipments from pickup through final delivery, ensuring on-schedule performance.
• Communicate with carriers to confirm pickups, obtain tracking information, and gather updates on delays.
• Coordinate solutions for missed pickups and service interruptions to minimize disruptions and maintain service excellence.
• Maintain accurate shipment documentation and update transportation management systems with notes.
• Collaborate with operations teams, carriers, drivers, and customers to communicate changes and resolve issues.
• Assist drivers with concerns at shipping/receiving locations and support throughout the transport process.
• Identify potential service failures and escalate exceptions to drive timely solutions.
• Report overages, shortages, damages, and other shipment-related issues to keep stakeholders informed.
