Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead a mid- to large-sized transportation terminal. You will guide up to 150 employees across shifts, coordinating inbound, outbound, and P&D functions in an LTL environment to ensure timely, safe, and cost-efficient freight handling.

The role demands strong leadership, hands-on coaching, and a customer-focused mindset, with emphasis on safety, performance metrics, and continuous improvement across operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of LTL operations and safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, coaching and performance management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct up to 150 employees across multiple shifts in an LTL terminal.
• Ensure freight moves efficiently and safely while meeting service standards.
• Oversee dock planning, schedules and KPI achievement; manage paperwork and compliance.
• Hire, train, coach and, when needed, terminate staff; enforce safety policies.
• Maintain relationships with internal teams and external customers to drive service.
• Record shipping information, monitor performance, and address operational issues.
