Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Fontana, CA. You will lead up to 150 employees across inbound, outbound, and P&D in a multi-shift LTL environment to ensure freight moves safely, on time, and cost-efficiently.

The role requires strong leadership, logistics knowledge, and a customer-focused mindset, with engagement in dock planning, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of all aspects of an LTL station preferred.
• Must have good computer skills.
• Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, mentor and terminate employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct employees to set goals, monitor performance, provide coaching and development.
• Manage an efficient, safe LTL operation including dock planning and schedules.
• Hire, train and evaluate staff; ensure paperwork follows company guidelines.
• Enforce safety rules, policies, and government regulations.
• Ensure on-time pickup and delivery and accurate freight verification for billing.
