Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking a landside operations leader to supervise daily terminal activities, including freight handling, loading, unloading, dispatch and dock operations. You will coordinate inbound and outbound freight and drive on-time service.

The role emphasizes safety and compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA standards, developing drivers and dispatch staff, and continuously improving productivity and customer satisfaction across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily landside terminal operations, including freight handling, loading, unloading, dispatch, and dock activities.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight movement to ensure on-time service performance.
• Monitor operations to achieve productivity, safety, and customer service objectives.
• Ensure proper load planning, trailer utilization, and freight consolidation.
• Oversee route planning and linehaul scheduling to maximize efficiency.
• Manage workflow to minimize damage claims, shortages, and service failures.
• Lead, coach, and develop drivers, dockworkers, dispatchers, and support personnel.
• Conduct safety meetings, shift start-ups, and operational briefings; enforce safety practices.
