Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking a Terminal Supervisor to oversee outbound operations for a designated dock section, coordinating loading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight. You will manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet production schedules and ensure efficient carrier loads.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a solid background in transportation or shipping.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving.
• Familiar with customs and cross-border transportation.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outbound operations for your section of the terminal dock.
• Manage loading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight sorting.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel.
• Build loads based on available labor and freight levels.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring cube and weight.
• Provide leadership to drivers and dock staff.
• Monitor dock production and KPI goals.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment per DOT/OSHA standards.
• Support a culture of excellence in product quality.
